Journey Overview:
As a new sales professional, finding new opportunities and closing them is job number one. There are many things to learn, but not much time to learn them. The expectation is that you ramp to productivity quickly to meet your sales quota and prove your value within the organization. In this journey, you’ll explore what it takes to close your first deal. You’ll focus on everything from pipeline generation to optimizing the use of the tools your organization has to help you succeed.
Journey Objectives:
Over the next five modules, you will explore how to:
- Develop a pipeline of prospects who are likely to become customers
- Qualify leads to drive early opportunities
- Discover your prospect’s pain point and articulate how your product solves for it
- Confidently structure and close your first deal, and
- Leverage sales-related tools to optimize your work.
The Experience
You are about to embark upon a unique experience that offers the personalized support you need to succeed. Here’s how it works:
Step 1: Set Your Journey Goal
It all begins with defining your goal for the journey. Research has shown that the best way to achieve your goals is to write them down, share them, and report your progress regularly. Scroll down to view more details on setting your journey goal.
Step 2: Book A Goal Setting Call
Once you’ve set your goal, you will discuss it in further detail in a 1:1 goal-setting session. Your coach will help you clearly define your goal, create a plan of action, and keep you accountable and motivated throughout your journey.
Step 3: Complete Modules
Throughout each module, you will participate in a group session, 1:1 coaching sessions, and gain access supplementary resources. On a regular cadence, you’ll join a group coaching session. A coach will guide you and your peers through a thoughtful topic-specific discussion about your experiences and lessons learned. The group coaching session is a critical part of the journey as it allows you to develop supportive relationships and learn from one another.
You’ll meet with a skill-specific coach to discuss each module’s topic and address your individual needs. Your coach will help you develop strategies to support your specific goals and provide guidance and accountability throughout the journey and beyond. Lastly, we’ve curated a list of additional resources for every topic in this journey. These resources will provide additional topic specific information to help you maximize your experience.
