Effective leadership requires a broad range of skills and capabilities, from self-awareness and communication skills to setting expectations and being resilient. At times, it can be a difficult balance to strike. However, with the right support, leaders can build the skills and mindset they need to motivate their teams and drive success for their organization.
Through the TaskHuman coaching experience, you have access to expert coaches who can help you build the skills you need to excel. Your conversations with your coach will not only build your knowledge base, but will also help you identify challenges and remove obstacles to your development. In this journey, you’ll explore what it takes to advance your professional growth, and as a result, improve your team’s performance.
In pursuit of operational excellence, the best ideas often come from those who are carrying out the day-to-day work. In your role as a servant leader, your role is to actively listen to your team and to create an environment where team members feel comfortable and empowered to share ideas and challenge the status quo.
During this Journey, the focus will be on helping you to become that leader. You will learn, develop and begin to practice some of the foundational skills to leading effectively in support of your development as a leader:

- Lead As Coach
These skills have been selected specifically for Freshpet’s leaders to provide a strong foundation for operational excellence and professional development within the company.
How To Get The Most Out Of The Journey:
You are about to embark upon a unique experience that offers the personalized support you need to succeed. Here are the next steps in the Journey.
- Set a meeting with your leader. The goal of the meeting is to prioritize and focus your time on the topics offered by TaskHuman for this Journey. These topics are listed in the program screen that has been customized for Freshpet’s program participants.
- Book a Goal Setting call. Discuss what you would like to get out of the Journey and refine your goal with a TaskHuman coach via a 1:1 goal-setting session. We have identified coaches uniquely qualified to work with you, based on their experience in the field.
The core of the experience is meeting with TaskHuman coaches to help you develop strategies to support your growth and provide guidance and accountability throughout the program and beyond. Once a strong relationship is established with your coach, you will want to continue these conversations as a powerful career resource. The expectation is that you will meet with a coach for a 1:1 coaching session every one to two weeks.
Periodic group coaching sessions are also planned. These are opportunities to share and learn new skills from a coach and to identify actions that you can take to practice these skills at work. Plan to be a full participant in any group session by listening carefully to others, offering constructive feedback, and openly sharing. Valuable insights can often be gained through the exchange of knowledge with colleagues.
