Nithya’s Hardships Led to Her Well-Being Breakthrough
Have you ever felt like you just can’t catch a break? When life throws you one hardship after another, you can sit back and hope for it to pass, but more often than not, the stress and emotions become too much to handle on your own. So, eventually you (hopefully) allow yourself to open up to the idea of receiving help — and just like that, doors open and breakthroughs become possible.
That’s something TaskHuman user, Nithya, can attest to. When she found herself amidst a series of difficult events, she knew she needed a change. But like many of us, Nithya put off the sometimes daunting and lengthy task of searching for support. Spoiler alert: Nithya found TaskHuman, and now uses the platform every single day.
1. Curiosity Creates Change
When Nithya realized that spiraling down an unhealthy path was no longer an option, things changed. Later that day she opened a personalized email from TaskHuman, and discovered the promise of an individualized approach with real-time coaching. Admittedly skeptical that any wellness app could help, her curiosity got the better of her, and she finally gave it a try.
“I was shocked. It took me time to process that this is actually a thing, and that TaskHuman allows you to make 1:1 connections and have coaching with professionals who are very educated in their subjects,” she says.
2. Start With One Goal
After her first session, she was hooked. As someone who had always dabbled in yoga, Nithya wanted to dive into the philosophy behind it — not just practicing the postures and asanas — as a way to deepen her daily practice.
“One of my goals is to practice yoga every single day and TaskHuman is the best motivation for me to do so,” notes Nithya.
While it may have been a daily yoga practice that brought Nithya back to the platform every day, she wanted to explore well-being beyond just the physical for a holistic mind-body approach to wellness. So, she began a journey of unpacking her previous challenges. Through this approach, she’s connected with a range of specialists who’ve taught her more constructive ways to process her emotions.
3. Progress Over Perfection
Has she fully unpacked her emotional baggage? Nithya said she’s still a work in progress, but progress itself is a significant breakthrough. She expressed gratitude to the coaches who have helped her thus far — including Manoj Kunnath Unnikrishnan, Pooja Nagpal, Romeo Mahato, Ayushi Mahalwala, and Jean Sheridan.
“It’s a journey, and I’m not there yet…but I will say that I feel like I’m taking a step [forward] in each one of my goals,” explains Nithya.
4. Support Systems Change Everything
Despite the apprehension associated with seeking help for her mental well-being, Nithya believes the benefits of the app outweighed her anxiety. Having a daily support system of knowledgeable coaches has been a game changer. For Nithya, stepping out of her comfort zone to give TaskHuman a try caused way less discomfort than living in a state of stress.
“I did it, and what I’ve learned thus far is that every coach is very friendly, very approachable and non-judgmental,” says Nithya.
Nithya’s story isn’t uncommon — it can be scary to get out of your comfort zone. So, she gave a deeper dive into her whole story here, if you’re looking for more inspiration and encouragement, too! After all, making your first call may be the biggest hurdle in your wellness journey. Are you ready to take the leap?
