  • They are finding ways to help everyone on their team do the best work of their career by coaching, training, motivating, and matching them to the areas where they can have the most impact.

  • They are always thinking about opportunities to help the most promising talent they have take on more and advance (even if that means finding them opportunities outside their team).

  • They provide prompt feedback and actively manage-out underperformance.

  • They continually invest in building strong, high-trust relationships throughout their team and with key partners.

  • They help reinforce Confluent’s culture and create an environment that is energetic, collaborative, fun, and fair.
